

Concierge collected me from the airport - Justin was right there a i came through arrivals. Communication was excellent. I arrived early morning and Terry at check-in expedited the room service so i only had to wait a short time, and he even offered breakfast whilst i waited. Booked the 125m2 suite which was perfectly furnished. Had everything you would need and more. Very comfy large bed. Spacious bathroom. Smart lighting and shading was a big plus. Free fruit and water in the room. Having a suite gives you access to the Millésime Executive Lounge on Floor 32 with free food and drink - Wasn't expecting that. A full array of Wester and local food, plus drinks. Although the hotel is enormous, you don´t get that feeling when you are there. The staff cannot do enough for you. If I ever visit Foshan again, i wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

I had the best time at Sofitel. Apart from being next to the louvre furniture mall which was convient for my trip the entire team was truly outstanding from Leo at the concierge to Eddie at the reception, Stephy the finance manager was exquisite and not to forget the exceptional Mr Yang who made sure I had everything I needed when I needed it. Best time ever!

Excellent location if you want to shop for furniture. The rooms are large and well appointed. The service is quick and efficient. The breakfast spread is huge with some awesome options for all tastes.

At arrival our cards didn’t work and very common in China. They refused to take $’s nor €’s as a deposit to spend the night. We arrived late evening and asked them to help exchange some money to cover the first night at least but we got no help. I suggested to even give a guarantee deposit of $1,000 for the first night until I manage to exchange some money the next day and again they said sorry we cannot. I was left to spend the night I wonder where ? Luckily my wife had 1200 rmb and that saved us. We ordered some food to the room for dinner and they said sorry we cannot serve you food as your amount is not enough, had to disturb and wake up my Chinese friend after midnight so that he could pay from his device via wechat. After the payment was done, the staff became friendly and started saying we are sorry. I know the Accor group are not beginners in the industry but I felt the manager of the building needs to be fired if I was the owner. I am also in the hotel business and own 2 hotels but we can never treat a client this way. We accept any currency as guarantee and find solutions in order to solve the clients problems. Surely the manager was French and wears a G string.

One of the best places I have stayed at. Breakfast buffet was amazing over 3 different buffet stands. Facilities were on point and amazing. Sky Bar & Allegria Restaurant are definitely worth visiting!

The service was excellent. Special mention of service from conceige Bell attendant - Thomas! He helped us beyond his call of duty as it was our first trip to Foshan and we were not familiar with directions and getting around. He was very attentive and looked into the details. We wish Thomas all the best in his career with the hotel. Thank you Thomas and Sofitel for making our trip a memorable one in Foshan!
